The surf report on Sunday sounded pretty good so I thought I'd take a look for myself before the blue skies turned grey once again. Flinders was my chosen location and the tide was well on its way in. I selected a position on the high tide mark and waited for the tide to push the shorebirds towards me.
It wasn't long before a Pacific Gull flew by, folowed by a group of Red-necked Stints, 2 Hooded Plovers, about 20 Double-banded Plovers, 6 Red-capped Plovers, 9 Sooty Oystercatchers, and the mandatory White Faced Heron. The surf wasn't too bad either.
