Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo

On the way home from Point Nepean I traversed the coastal route via Cape Schanck and Flinders. On a stretch of winding road just past Bushrangers Bay I spotted about 20 Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos basking in the temporary sunshine on a dead wattle. For about 10 minutes they observed me as I took these photos.

Such a strange bird with its prehistoric calls, yet equally inquisitive and photogenic.
