Double-banded Plovers and Red-necked Stints

Double-banded Plover

Double-banded Plovers have returned from New Zealand and I found quite a few feeding with Red-necked Stints at Flinders foreshore. There were also 12 Ruddy Turnstones in the group.

  1. Thanks for these. It's good to know what's about ... if you look!

    1. thanks Pete, they are difficult birds to see and many times I have walked straight past them. There are always quite a few at Flinders near the Mushroom Reef marine sanctuary.
