  2. Hi Wampy, Thanks for the post, great piks. I frequent the island a bit myself and I'm trying to pick that egret of yours - is it a cattle egret? If so whereabouts were you? I don't think I've seen them on the island.
    Not that it really matters - it's not like they hang around!

    1. My first impression was that it was a cattle egret, but it was on its own with a bunch of ravens. I finally settled on an immature intermediate egret. I found it on the backtrack at the nobbies that ends up at summerlands, its a great spot for raptors.

  3. Great photos. I like the contrast in the first one with the birds such different colors. I have never seen those species sitting that closely together.
