Swamp Harrier attack at The Briars

The bird hide at The Briars near Mornington proved to be a good vantage point to observe a Swamp Harrier attacking some Chestnut Teals, but wasn't successful. Unfortunately for me the tinted windows were dirty making it difficult to get a decent photo.

Blue Skies at Coolart

A beautiful warm spring day at Coolart wetlands really helped to bring ou the local birds. A Swamp Harrier was quite busy searching for an easy meal while a Chestnut Teal was busy looking for a mate. The Great Egret displayed some breeding plumage and enjoyed dancing with a White Necked Heron. In the car park, a pair of Tawny Frogmouths were resting before commencing the night shift.
