More Raptors From WTP

I love taking photos of raptors, and there are plenty at the Western Treatment Plant. Here's a few of the snaps I took yesterday.

Late in the afternoon I came across two Wedgies not far from the coast along Beach Rd and a White Bellied Sea Eagle cruising along the bay

Australasian Bittern

Quite surprised to see an Australasian Bittern flushed from the reeds at pond number 4 in the T-section lagoons at the western treatment plant. First chased by a swamp harrier, and then by a whistling kite, the bittern disappeared in the reeds a few hundred metres away.
