Australasian Bittern

Quite surprised to see an Australasian Bittern flushed from the reeds at pond number 4 in the T-section lagoons at the western treatment plant. First chased by a swamp harrier, and then by a whistling kite, the bittern disappeared in the reeds a few hundred metres away.

  2. Likewise! I am curious as to why the raptors would chase such a thing!
